trolls knees and button trees

Here's my intake on Halloween. It's suppose to be scary, frightening, terrifying, and fun. Scary movies all Oct.,Halloween parties, creative eye ball martini's and a time to carve pumpkins into your favourite character of the year.
But kids these days have to do everything super safe now. Over protective parents have sucked the fun out of trick or treating. I believe kids should be going door to door and get candy. Then parents sort through things at home. I understand not giving out peanuts since its such a huge allergy issue. But now kids are allergic to everything, and its makes for a shitty Halloween. Kids are going to malls, no one is trick or treating and if they are they arent out passed 9pm. Now everyone is starting to hand out dollar store toys instead of candies.
I recall going door to door for many years and out until at least midnight, the streets were filled with happy children all dressed up. What happened? When did everyone become so paranoid? What happened to you as a child that youve decided to take the fun away for all the other children? Everyone should be able to enjoy the spooky holiday as its meant to be celebrated.
Maybe i'm jealous of the fact kids are more likely to bring home a bag full of toys now,its almost like having 2 Christmas'. Id have been pretty stoked for that in my younger years. But Halloween was always about candy and Christmas was about toys and gifts.

There is one thing I'd like parents to stop doing though,on our only frightening day of the year. Please stop calling 911 about a spooky house. Teach your kid its okay, its not real, show them during the day time its fine. Dont ruin Halloween for everyone because your child is scared. Their suppose to be scared, it helps them grow as a person. If you shelter your child and show them you call the cops when their scared, what is that teaching them? Nothing, expect bothering police for a non emerg situation.

Anyways i'm done this little Halloween rant.
I hope anyone who reads this has a happy and safe Halloween and that you get the crap scared out of you.

Thanks for reading.

kiddies go to bed. this is adult time.

Is it weird to make rude jokes while waiting for my dinner? I ordered wings and a fruit cup, and told my boyfriend maybe it'll come with a special sauce. He said he would be mad if i gave him some of their special sauce. I said hunny, this is what eating pineapple tastes like....*hint hint*.
Supper was nice though and the servers were great. Although i didnt get a special sauce, i did get a chipotle mayo sauce though and it was pretty good.
Afterwards we went to Tim Horton's (a coffee shop for those of you who dont know) for a tea. Then i got a craving for a pumpkin spice muffin.my boyfriend drove me to 3 tim hortons to find the muffin since they seem to run out of them at 1030pm.
We got home and yet another awful joke was made.
I fake complained about how my little dab of icing wasnt in the centre. I know, first world problems right? My boyfriend said its hard to aim right in the middle of the muffin, my dear. I then proceeded to take a massive bite out of my happy flavoured icing, pumpkin spice muffin.
That is just a regular day in my house. Muffin tops and loaded jokes.

egg whites and pancake batter

Today I sit at home, watching netflix and wonder to myself, why?
I actually miss waiting a day to a week for the next episode. I don't want to be one of those "back in my day" bloggers but i think its going to happen. Because back in my day, we'd watch a couple of our favourite episodes and then play outside. Now people, including myself, sit and watch an entire series in one sitting.
I dont mind some of the benefits technology has done for us, reconnecting with old friends, making it easier for research, students and jobs. I just wish it wasnt so addicting. Why is it so addicting? Playing outside, going out and actually talking to real people was so much more fun. Now, even when people go outside they are glued to their phones. Its sad looking around at a restaurant seeing families not connecting any more. They sit texting on their phones. Maybe places should ban phone use during visiting the facility. But thatll never happen.
Do you agree with kids having a smart phone? Is it really a good idea? Or were we scared into buying these products to keep connected by the media? Crime has always happened, phones or not. Does a 10yr old really need a $600 device to facebook and text on, causing them to lose touch with their families at an early age? Some parents absolutely love the idea and some disagree. Im in the middle. Kids need balance, and letting electronics babysit isnt a healthy balance. But again, these are my opinions and rants. Im not judging any parents on raising kids and im not giving advice. Im just asking and giving my opinion.
I remember when passing notes in class wasnt acceptable and now everyone is sitting at their desk with their heads down texting instead of paying attention.
I love my phone and i use it often, i do miss not being glued to it though. I try to tell my boyfriend no phones during dinner, i think its reasonable. Lol.
Well thats one of my technology rants, there probably is more to come some day.

first of many blogs to come

Well I decided to make my first blog Oct 28 2014. I've heard lots about them but never had any interest. More so because I didn't think people would read it, there are thousands of blogs, so why mine?
But I have been through quite a lot and think it is time to be vocal, on the internet. My blog is going to be a very emotional rollercoaster. And if you dont like it, well to bad. I'm not one for making up stories, but I will keep names secret, unless its a terrible restaurant or hotel. If you give bad service you dont deserve good ratings.
Last but not least, I'm using my tablet for blogging so please little judgement on grammar, I will do my best to check before posting.
Please no rude comments, im on here to just have a little fun and voice my own opinions.
Thanks for reading.
